FAIR Stations presented at the Joint Safety and Security Thematic Group of ECTRI

On 18 November 2019, the FAIR Stations Technical Manager, Emmanuel Matsika, presented at the Joint Safety and Security Thematic Group of ECTRI. The title of the presentation was ‘Novel Train Boarding System for PTI Safety of PRMs (EU FAIR Stations Project)’.

The event took place at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM), Technical School of Industrial Engineering in Madrid. Feedback from the ECTRI experts in safety and security will be applied in making recommendations to improvement of the boarding system and enhancing possible routes to its exploitation across Europe.

The European Conference of Transport Research Institutes (ECTRI) is an international non-profit association that was founded in April 2003 by 15 national transport research institutes and universities of 13 European countries. Today, it includes 29 major transport research institutes or universities from 20 European countries. Together, they account for more than 4,000 European scientific and research staff in the field of transport.
